Devon Scott

24 Aug

Name: Devon Scott

Height: 6’9
Weight: 230

Position: Power Forward/Center

School: Northland
Hometown: Columbus, OH

AAU: West Virginia Wildcats Select/All-Ohio Red
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Raw but talented post with a high motor and a killer instinct on the defensive end. Uses timing, length, and great leaping ability for someone his size to get off the ground and block shots at a high level. Consistent rebounder on both ends who powers the ball back up at the rim with strength on the offensive end. Developing offensive player that is getting his stroke down and starting to show signs of a hook shot with his back to the basket.

Bottom Line: Projects as either a mid-major plus recruit or a borderline high major recruit due to his potentially high ceiling. He has tools such as leaping ability, length, and a high motor but is very raw and will probably never be a great offensive threat.

Notes: De-committed from Cincinnati in September. Committed and signed with Dayton on 11/09/11.
