Evaluation: Late bloomer who dominated his junior season, his first across the river in Kentucky. Campbell is a wide-bodied forward with a versatile skill set. He excels in the pick and roll or pop game where he can score the ball around the rim or from deep. Excellent shooter with perfect mechanics in his shooting form, and NBA range on his shot. Not a bad rebounder, who is an excellent outlet passer when he gets the board. Still somewhat raw around the rim with his skills, but has great potential with his natural feel for the offensive game. Capable of dominating inside with his strength and coordination. Needs to show a high motor at all times to maximize his vast potential.
Bottom Line: Campbell has come a long way in a year, if he keeps on improving he’ll be one of the best to come out of the area in a while.
