Evaluation: Native of The Congo who burst onto the scene at Withrow late in his junior year, Kalala is a big time athlete who plays with heart and is just scratching the surface as he learns the game in his second season in the USA. Kalala likes to operate out of the high post and attack, but his best attribute is probably his ability to rebound in traffic with bounce and toughness. He’s more of a track guy right now, but if he focuses on improving his basketball game then he’s going to have a big senior year.
