Evaluation: “Abba” came to Cincinnati from Nigeria during his eighth grade year and has been turning heads even since with his natural ability to block shots, run the floor and his constant improvement. As he adds weight and confidence to his game, Lawal is starting to finish more consistently around the rim, make free throws and rebound in traffic. He’s still a ways away from the player that he’ll become, but Lawal has proven to be a dedicated worker and has excellent long term potential.
