Name: Justin Bibbs

Height: 6’4
Weight: 190

Position: Shooting Guard

School: Montverde Academy (FL)
Hometown: Dayton, OH

AAU: King James Shooting Stars
Class: 2014

Evaluation:Versatile wing that has ascended up the rankings as a sophomore with his all-around game and scoring abilities. Justin is a solid, but not yet great, ballhandler that is capable of playing all three perimeter positions. He’s a slashing wing capable of taking a man off the bounce in the isolation or using the ballscreen to get into the paint; once in the lane Bibbs shows good vision to find space to score the ball or dish it off unselfishly to a teammate. A very good shooter who thrives in the lost mid-range game the smooth lefty loves to pull up off the dribble where he gets great elevation and shoots a nice ball. Bibbs has displayed range out to the three-point line but prefers to look for jumpers in the 17 foot range. Very good athlete who can make plays above the rim and has good length to go with broad shoulders that should carry more weight, he also could hit another growth spurt. Bibbs effects the game defensively by using his speed, size, and power to his advantage to guard just about any position in high school and is also a high level rebounder. Still somewhat raw and an unknown player he is easily one of the top talents in the 2014 class in Ohio.

Bottom Line: Bibbs has a chance to not only be the elite wing in the 2014 class in Ohio but the elite overall prospect. He has all the intangibles that college coaches love to see and is just scratching the surface of his vast talent. A sure fire mid-major prospect that has a great chance to reach high-major status as he continues to develop.

Notes: After his sophomore year at Dayton’s Chaminade Julienne HS Bibbs withdrew to attend the prestigious Montverde Academy in Florida. Dayton, Wright State, Cincinnati, Xavier, Northern Kentucky, Michigan, and Ohio State have all taken early notice of Bibbs.
