Devin Foster returns home

25 Oct

It’s been a busy four years for 2012 PG Devin Foster. After spending his freshman year at Trotwood-Madison then sophomore year at Dayton Jefferson the Foster family moved down to Lafayette, Louisiana for his junior season. Foster has now returned to Dayton Jefferson for his senior season and is eager to pick up where he left off for one of Ohio’s perennially most talented Division IV teams. Before leaving Ohio most scouting services had tabbed Foster as one of the top guards in 2012, and he should re-enter the rankings very close to the top of the PG list the next time that Triple Double Prospects updates its rankings.

A scoring point guard, Foster told Triple Double Prospects that he has great success over the last year, both in high school and on the AAU circuit with Louisiana Dynasty, scoring the ball around the basket as a slasher and shooting the ball. Foster said that it is great improvement in his shooting stroke that has attracted so much attention in his game going into his senior season of basketball.

A 6’2 frame with good strength and big time bounce, the lefty is known to throw down some hard dunks in transition, Foster’s skill set appears to translate nicely to the Division I college level.

Presently, Foster is hearing from Toledo, Akron, Dayton, LSU, and Cleveland State but expects even more to come his way once the school year starts, and the word gets out that he has moved back to his native state of Ohio.  Triple Double will be keeping a close eye on Foster as he re-acclimates himself to Dayton basketball and puts up what should be big numbers on a good Jefferson team.
