Evaluation: Pure scoring off guard that can shoot with the best of them Macio is near automatic from inside 25 feet. Shoots the ball with confidence and has the unique ability to zone everything else out when shooting, rare for a young player. Capable ballhandler that can slash to the rim and has a knack for hitting tough shots around the rim. More of a breakdown dribbler then a set up man he can create his own shot off the bounce with a step back or hesitation. Above average athlete that can out and run with or without the ball in transition. Good court vision makes him a very apt passer in the fullcourt. Needs to continue to add strength and become a better defender.
Bottom Line: While he isn’t a great athlete yet Macio is uniquely skilled for his age. A great shooter with a high IQ and a passion to improve he will be viewed by plenty of Division I coaches over his high school years.
