Khalid King

6 Sep

Name: Khalid King

Height: 6’2
Weight: 175

Position: Point Guard/Shooting Guard

School: Brookhaven
Hometown: Columbus, OH

AAU: All-Ohio Gold
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Long and fluid athlete who really puts pressure on the defense King is capable of succeeding at either guard position. Solid ballhandler who, although he can sometimes get out of control, can change directions on a dime and attack the lane. When he drives he is more of a scorer then passer as his point guard duties revolve more around him being most effective with the ball in his hand. While he isn’t a great shooter Khalid is a high level shotmaker who is still raw in his understanding of the game but has the athleticism and attitude to be a good player.

Bottom Line: King is a talented combo guard that can make plays offensively. He needs to learn to play within the limitations of the game but has the potential to be an effective player at the collegiate level in Division I.

Notes: Committed to Division I North Carolina A&T in early November.
