Carter Smith

Name: Carter Smith

Height: 5’10
Weight: 155

Position: Point Guard

School: Upper Arlington
Hometown: Columbus, OH

AAU: Hidden Gems
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Pure point guard that has an advanced understanding of how to use changes of speed and direction to deceptively create time and space. Deft ballhandler with good quickness that is constantly looking to attack his defender with dribble moves, Carter is very tough to contain off the bounce with his deceptive abilities. Very good passer who sees plays before they happen and makes his teammates better, all without turning the ball over. Excellent shooter out to the three point line. While Carter is undersized and does not possess elite athleticism his head for the game makes him a very good point guard prospect.

Bottom Line: Smith is a great basketball player who should be a steal at the Division II level where he currently holds at least seven offers. If he was a little bigger or more athletic he would be a surefire Division I recruit as his skillset and leadership abilities are very strong.
