Evaluation: Great shooter with a quick release and a quick way of setting his feet Deontae must be guarded anywhere near the NBA three point line. Developing handle where he can now take two dribbles and pull up in the teeth of the defense, where his long 6’5 frame allows him to get the shot off. Versatile offensive player that is effective in the high post as a high-low passing forward who will not miss the 15 foot jumper. Very hard worker who plays with maximum effort on the defensive end and the glass. Well coaching prospect who has a good basketball IQ, willingness to improve, and is a great teammate.

Bottom Line: Cole has a very good chance to end up at Division I school with his combination of IQ, effort, size, and great shooting ability. As the rest of his perimeter game develops and his feet get quicker he could become and elite prospect in Ohio’s 2013 class.
