Austin Gardner

25 Aug

Name: Austin Gardner

Height: 6’1
Weight: 170

Position: Point Guard

School: St. Johns Jesuit
Hometown: Toledo, OH

AAU: Hidden Gems
Class: 2013

Evaluation: Savvy PG that is equally effective in playing the team quarterback role or by deciding to take over as the go to scorer. A pure shooter with confidence, deep range, and a streaky way of taking over games. Very good ballhandler who makes up for his lack of elite quickness with an understanding of how to create space using his body and changes of speed. Very high IQ guard that is like a coach on the floor.

Bottom Line: Under the radar PG prospect that can really play. Effective as a scorer and passer Gardner will be recruited by both low major Division I’s and heavily be Division II’s.
