Ramar Hairston

Name: Ramar Hairston

Height: 6’1
Weight: 180

Position: Shooting Guard

School: Northwest
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

AAU: Queen City Prophets
Class: 2013

Evaluation: Versatile guard is a lockdown defender who can slash to the rim or shoot the ball from deep. A shifty ballhandler Ray knows how to get to the rack and is able to finish with great body control and nice touch. He also shows solid court vision when penetrating, can play the point when needed, and likes to find teammates. Although he falls in love with the jumper a little too much his unconventional shot does fall with consistency when he is set from three. A good athlete with a strong body and quick feet his energetic attitude is good for any team.

Bottom Line: Ray isn’t the prettiest player but he flat out makes plays for his team on both ends of the court. A good competitor with a will to be the best at whatever he does he will be successful in basketball or football at whatever level he is recruited at in college.

Notes: Most likely will pursue football in college where he is a standout dual threat QB and safety. Son of former Hughes HS legend Eric Johnson and younger brother of former Aiken standout Kenny Knight.
