Evaluation: Austin has a man’s body and has had it for years. Overwhelming strength, a quick first step, and explosive leaping ability make him a tough matchup because he has the handle and moves to use these tools to blow by defenders. A versatile prospect who can play some PG or slide down and use his physicality to play as an undersized PF Grimes is a great utility player for a coach. Averaged over 15 rebounds a game as a sophomore thanks to his relentless approach. Capable shooter from three with time but is at his best when getting to the paint where he can hit the pull up consistently or attacking the rim and using his strength to finish.

Bottom Line: Might be perfectly suited for the mid-major level where his strength, bounce, and toughness can make up for a lack of height. As he adds more and more skill to his offensive game his stock will continue to rise, especially as he has expressed interest in becoming a point guard down the road.
