Shaheed Davis

23 Aug

Name: Shaheed Davis

Height: 6’8
Weight: 200

Position: Power Forward

School: Warren Harding
Hometown: Warren, OH

AAU: Ohio Basketball Club
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Bouncy combo forward with tremendous upside to become a dominant inside-outside threat. At 6’8 with a legit 7’1 wingspan Shaheed uses his size plus athleticism to control the boards on both ends and alter shots. Does a good job running the floor on transition and can even push the ball himself and make a play. Shows the beginnings of a wing game as he can shoot the ball with time and has some solid dribble moves. While his strength is developing he plays bigger then he is down low.

Bottom Line: Not many players are as gifted with size, athleticism, and ball-skills as Shaheed. When he plays with a good motor he is a pure high major prospect. As he is a little inconsistent with his production he could end up being a mid-major steal or a high major project.

Notes:Committed to Duquesne on 1/11/12 and plans to sign in the spring period. Chose Duquense over Southern Illinois, UT-Chattanooga, and several MAC schools.
