Jalean Lowe

Name: Jalean Lowe

Height: 6’4
Weight: 170

Position: Small Forward

School: Taft
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH

AAU: All-Ohio Purple
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Smooth shooting wing with good size and developing penetration game. “J” can stretch the defense out to NBA range where he has a consistent jumper and has learned how to set his man up and take them straight to the basket where his length makes him a good finisher. The ability to put the ball has taken him up a level as a player, and with improvement can take him up another, because all veteran players in Ohio know him as a knockdown shooter. Defensively he has the length and good enough quickness to slow down players unless he is overpowered physically.

Bottom Line: While he consistently contributes the same amount of points he does disappear and reappear in games too often were coaches would like to see a more complete performance. When he is focused on the rim “J” is capable of hitting clutch three after three. Probably going to be best fit for the Division II level collegiately, although there is Division I interest out there.
