Elijah Macon

23 Aug

Name: Elijah Macon

Height: 6’8
Weight: 230

Position: Power Forward

School: Brewster Academy (NH)
Hometown: Columbus, OH

AAU: All-Ohio Red
Class: 2012

Evaluation: Passionate and powerful forward with great leaping ability. Elijah is a human highlight reel that bullies his defender before dunking on them. Decently skilled down low he has some post game and a better face up game where he likes to attack the rim. Can shoot the ball consistently out to 17 feet. Dominant rebounder and pretty good shotblocker that can be a defensive stud if he consistently puts out maximum effort, as he did in July during All-Ohio’s National Championship run.

Bottom Line: Elijah has elite talent and potential with his combination of speed and power with blossoming ball-skills. If he ties it all together he will be one of the top collegiate players in the country.

Notes: Consensus top 50 recruit nationally who attended Columbus Marion Franklin for his first three years, then Huntington (WV) Prep for his senior year. Macon will spend a postgrad year at Brewster Academy (NH) before heading to West Virginia, where he committed to during his year at Huntington Prep.
