Height: 6’5
Weight: 185
Position: Shooting Guard
School: Brewster Academy (NH)
Hometown: Cincinnati, OH
AAU: Queen City Prophets
Class: 2012 (Postgrad)
Evaluation: Scorer. That’s what Aaron does better then just about anyone in the world not getting paid to play basketball. Thomas can hit from way deep off of crossover dribbles, get in the lane and pull up, finish around the rim with finnesse moves, or jump over everyone and dunk the ball. He has elite talent as a scorer and that is matched by great length and first rate athleticism where he can fly off the floor and has a great first step to match. “AT” still has plenty of development left in his game but Brewster should get his best out of him and he has the potential to be one of the best to come out of Cincinnati in recent memory.
Bottom Line: “AT” is a high major scoring talent who with some polish can be an elite player in the ACC. He has to focus in on the defensive end and refine his handle and basketball IQ but the ability and the killer instinct is already in place. Coach Hamilton at Florida State should be very excited to get Aaron on campus once Brewster is done developing him more.
Notes: ’11 graduate of Withrow HS (Cincinnati, OH). Committed and signed with Florida State in the fall of his senior year at Withrow. Ranked among the top 100 prospects nationally by all major scouting services.
