Evaluation: Scoring wing with a focus on getting buckets in the paint and from deep Malcolm is an intriguing prospect. Despite an unconventional release he hits at a high clip from three and on mid-range pull up jumpers, he has deceptive leaping ability where he has finished some dunks in traffic, and he is developing a handle that allows him to play on the ball more often then off. Consistently taking the best shot for the situation is the key to his future but as far as scorers go he is one of the more talented wings out there.
Bottom Line: Came out of nowhere to enjoy a great junior HS season and AAU run. Is getting some low-mid major MAC looks but is a tough player to project due to his rapid ascension. If he produces consistently at Princeton this season then there is no reason that he shouldn’t have those Division I schools offering him a scholarship in the future.
Notes: Declared Western Michigan as his current leader.
