Evaluation: Elite shooter with long range and great confidence that has become one of the most consistent shotmakers on the AAU circuit. Ptacek is a good athlete that knows how to use a bounce or two to get his shot off, and gets good lift off the court when taking his jumpshot. He has a quick release off the set shot, and good footwork coming off screens. He’s still making strides in other part of his game but he’s one of the most dangerous shooters in the nation.
Bottom Line: Improving prospect with one great skill that can be used at the college level. Ptacek already has some Division I offers and looks like he’ll find a home at the low major level somewhere.
