Evaluation: Athletic guard with bursts of speed, leaping ability, and good length. Gibson is best on the defensive end but is also capable of playing either guard spot on the offensive end. He’s very capable at getting to the rim off the bounce where he shows strong finishing skills with his explosiveness. Needs to continue to develop his jumpshot and playmaking abilities, but is a dangerous threat because he can flat out get where he needs to go off the dribble.
Bottom Line: Division I prospect because of his athleticism and ability to defend the basketball. Gibson is an improving combo guard who is still floating under the radar.
